Mountain Family Continues to Provide Voter Registration Assistance

October 2, 2018 by Mountain Family

By Danyelle Rigli, Advocacy Coordinator

Mountain Family Health Centers is dedicated to community advocacy and voter education and will continue to help provide voter registration information this fall. People who vote are often more likely to be involved in community activities, have lower rates of unemployment and better health outcomes.

People interested in registering to vote can do so at Mountain Family locations in Basalt, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and Edwards. Ask our front desk personnel for the appropriate form, and Mountain Family can provide a registration form that can be taken home and mailed in, or the form can be filled out at the clinic and mailed to the correct county from there. Our locations can be found here.

Colorado residents can also register, in both English and Spanish, through Colorado’s registration website, www.GoVoteColorado.com, or by contacting a local County Clerk and Recorder’s office.

Mountain Family will also provide sample ballots in Spanish at each clinic to help voters understand the issues in their preferred language.

Educating our communities about important topics that affect their health and well-being is part of the Mountain Family mission to be an advocacy leader. Many people miss the opportunity to vote because they are unaware of registration deadlines, rules about updating registration or not having the opportunity to register in the first place.

OUR MISSION

To provide high quality, integrated primary medical, behavioral, and dental health care in the communities we serve, with special consideration for the medically underserved, regardless of ability to pay.
