Here is a sampling of the expertise Traveler’s Clinic has to offer:

Immunizations
Consider the expert recommended immunizations for the country or countries you are traveling to. Most of the recommended vaccines are administered on site. Also consider whether you will be at risk for the vaccine preventable diseases. We can help you decide if you may actually NOT need an available vaccine.

Malaria prevention
This is a complicated area of medicine. Let us help you decide, based on risk, cost, side effects and effectiveness, which malaria prevention medication will be right for you.

Traveler’s diarrhea prevention
We have quick and effective treatment options for this common illness. Be prepared before you are stuck in an unfamiliar place in urgent need of treatment.

Avian flu
Should I be worried in the area I am traveling to?

First Aid requirements
Let us jump start your travel first aid. Whether you are diving or climbing to altitude, physician recommendations for a first aid kit can be invaluable.

Water purification
There are lots of choices out there. What is right for you and your destination?

High altitude travel
Trekking in Nepal or visiting Machu Pichu? Medicines can help prevent altitude illness. Also, if you’ve had problems before, consider advice for avoiding it this time.

Kids Travel
How can we adapt the usual travel recommendations for children?

Travel Vaccines*
We provide all travel vaccines including:

  • Typhoid
  • Meningitis
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Rabies
  • Yellow Fever
  • Hepatitis A and B

*What vaccines are needed depend on what countries you are going to (and sometimes the part of the country), the order in which you are visiting countries and the season you are travelling.

When calling for your appointment, let us know what countries you’ll be travelling to, in what order and the dates you’ll be travelling.
