We’re on a mission to bring integrated care to the Roaring Fork Valley

Mountain Family Health Centers is moving towards our final $3.2 million goal for the new Basalt Integrated Health Center. Mountain Family strives to be at the heart of health solutions in the Roaring Fork Valley and our wider service area. The new Basalt Integrated Health Center is a significant step in our mission.

We are more than half-way done raising the funds for our Building Health for All: Basalt Health Center capital campaign and we’re aiming to raise the final $1.5 million to close the campaign by December 31, 2019. Your support is essential to the ensuring full funding for this valuable community asset. If you give now, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to generous challenge grants by the Aspen Skiing Company, an anonymous donor and the Alpenglow Foundation. Thank you for considering contributing to Mountain Family Health Centers’ Basalt Integrated Health Center, at whatever amount is meaningful for you, to ensure all residents of the Roaring Fork Valley have access to high-quality, integrated medical, behavioral and dental health services.

Numerous partners have joined Mountain Family’s efforts to increase access to integrated care in the Roaring Fork Valley by supporting our Basalt capital campaign. Aspen Valley Hospital, Pitkin County, and Eagle County are providing substantial support for the new Basalt Integrated Health Center space and for uncompensated care over the long-term, along with several local, state and national foundations.

We would like to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to our donors:

$500,000 The Colorado Health Foundation

The new Basalt Integrated Health Center provides essential solutions to critical health care challenges in the Roaring Fork Valley. Those problems include:
• The skyrocketing cost of health insurance has become unaffordable for working families
• Mountain Family’s uninsured patient population is 38% and growing, adding up to over 8,000 individuals across the valley
• Extremely limited access to medical, dental and behavioral (mental) health professionals who accept Medicaid

The new Basalt Integrated Health Center offers important solutions to those challenges:
• Doubles Mountain Family Health Centers’ capacity in Basalt to provide allowing proactive, affordable, high quality integrated health care for up to 3,700 patients annually
• Adds a full dental team integrated with medical teams and expands behavioral health professionals, all in one location
• Public/private partnership leverages investments for long-term health solutions. Lead partners include
Pitkin County, Eagle County and Aspen Valley Hospital, among others.

“Mountain Family Health provides integrated medical, dental and behavioral health care for all,” says CEO Ross Brooks, “regardless of economic or insurance status, ethnicity or race, as we believe access to affordable healthcare is a basic human right.”

You can be a part of the solution. To join the Building Health for All: Basalt Integrated Health Center campaign, please contact Chief Executive Officer Ross Brooks at 970-945-2840 (office), 720-837-0928 (cell) or rbrooks@mountainfamily.org.
