New West Springs Hospital Opens with Expanded Behavioral Health Care

Mind Springs Health is hosting public grand opening activities on Wednesday, December 5th for a new psychiatric facility in Grand Junction. The new West Springs Hospital will allow Mind Springs to provide care for children and adolescents with a new unit dedicated to those patients, as well as doubling the overall number of people receiving care.

“Mountain Family Health Centers partners with Mind Springs Health across Western Colorado in the name of improving the integrated physical and behavioral health care our communities desire,” says Mountain Family Health Centers CEO Ross Brooks. “The new West Springs Hospital in Grand Junction is an extraordinary community asset that will provide hope and healing for generations to come. Congratulations to the Mind Springs Health Board of Directors, staff, partners and local communities for making the vision become reality.”

The new hospital will have 64 beds and is the only psychiatric hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City. Mind Springs Health is offering tours on December 5th between 11am and 2pm at 515 28 ¾ Road in Grand Junction. More information about the new hospital can be found here.
